I Believe In…Eeemaan Series
Since the birth of my beautiful boy, my mission has been to bring our tiny muslims with an engaging and simple book that will aid parents to teach the key principles of tauheed in Islaam through listening and repeating.
IBI Eemaan Series consists of six books which attempts to teach younger readers (aged 6 months-4 years) about the six articles of faith in Islam in a simple and easy manner. The series is based on the understanding of faith (eemaan) in Islam known from the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). When Jibreel asked the Prophet Muhammad to inform him about faith he replied that: “It is that you believe in Allah and His angels and His Books and His Messengers and in the Last Day, and in fate (qadar), both in its good and bad.” (Muslim, Book 1:1).
The concept that we are trying to replicate is similar to the education of teaching our children their numbers, alphabets, names of objects and animals. As early years’ experiences shape their future, we cannot stress upon the importance of beginning their teaching with the basic tenants of our faith.
The majority of children’s’ Islamic books are based upon their comprehension apart from the teaching of Arabic letters and numbers etc. Our books are unique as they are intended for listening and repeating, so they can regurgitate the information regardless of whether they comprehend at that particular stage of their lives.
We intend to present all the information as matters of fact rather than fiction. At the same time keeping in the age of our readers ensuring the language is age appropriate, simple to understand and engaging in appearance. We would also like to inform you that we already have the contents of the rest of the five books but will like to pursue the books one at a time.
